Applied

Candidates submit their resume, respond to initial questions related to the role and are awaiting review from Ruffwear.
Etapa 2

Internal Review

Once we've received your application, a member of our People & Culture team will review it. If you're a potential match, we'll share your candidate profile with the Hiring Manager. 

If we don't determine a good fit this time around, we'll let you know as soon as possible by email. 
Etapa 3

Recruiter Conversation

This is your first virtual conversation with us. You’ll connect with a Recruiter from our People & Culture team (and likely their pup, too) to get to know you, and talk about your experience, the role, and what you’re looking for next. We’ll also align early on key expectations—like the role's performance goals, compensation, and location—so we’re on the same page from the start. And of course, there will be time for your questions, too.
Etapa 4

Hiring Manager Interview

You've made it to the Hiring Manager interview! This is an exciting and important step in the process.

This 45-minute conversation, which will be held either in-person at our Bend office or virtually, is your chance to really dive deep with the person who would be your direct Pack Leader.

We'll focus on understanding what you specifically bring to the role, what resources and support you'd need to be successful, and how your unique perspective and skills could add to our existing dynamic.

It's also your dedicated time to ask any questions you have about what's ahead for the role, the team, or anything else you're curious about at Ruffwear. We're looking forward to connecting!

Etapa 5

Pack Leader Interview

Here’s where you dive deeper with another Pack Leader at Ruffwear. This person is not your direct people leader, but it is someone who will interact with this role often. Expect a mix of big-picture thinking and role details as you explore together how your skills, style, and goals align. It’s less about perfect answers, more about real talk.

This is also another opportunity to learn about Ruffwear and the cross-functional dynamic of the role. We'll always leave time for you to ask us questions - definitely ask what you want to know to help you decide if this is a good fit for you!
Etapa 6

Meet our Pack!

Time to meet the Pack! In this stage, you’ll connect with folks from different corners of Ruffwear—sometimes one-on-one and sometimes in a panel. 

It’s all about getting to know you through the lens of the role’s core competencies, and giving you a chance to see how we work (and vibe) across the brand.
Etapa 7

Decision Time

After interviews wrap, our team comes together to share input and perspectives. We take this step seriously—thinking through individual skill and business need match.

We don’t rush this part; we take the time needed to make a thoughtful, aligned decision. If it’s a match, we’ll move quickly to next steps.
Etapa 8

Offer

Once we’re both on the same page, it’s time to make it official. You’ll get a call from the Hiring Manager with the good news (so be sure to keep an eye on your phone!), followed by a formal written offer in your inbox—ready for digital signing. 

For some roles, a background check might be part of the final step. We’ll let you know if that applies to you and what those next steps are if they apply.

Hired!

Welcome to our Pack! Once your offer is signed (and background check cleared, if applicable), we’ll kick off your pre-boarding and get you ready to hit the ground running.
